Omega-3:

Omega-3s are fatty acids that are essential to our body; they are part of the composition of its vital organs. Three of them have a definite impact on our body: alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Benefits of Omega 3:

  • Health benefits for vascular health: Omega-3s (ALA) are known to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. They help lower blood pressure in people dealing with high blood pressure.

Moreover, they reduce bad cholesterol and increase high cholesterol levels.

  • Omega-3s are powerful antioxidants that can, among other things, reduce the effects of chronic inflammation. Fatty acids are known to reduce joint pain.
  • They promote weight loss and help with muscle gain. It's a good idea to incorporate them into your healthy lifestyle habits. Eat well, move.
  • Prevention of mental illnesses, anxiety, and depression: the brain is largely made up of fats, among which omega-3s are found. A correlation has been established between low omega-3 levels and attention deficit. They are also believed to support attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, impulsivity, and aggressiveness in children.

A direct link has been made between depression and a lack of omega-3s in the blood. Supplementation with omega-3s, rich in EPA and DHA, is recommended to reduce symptoms of depression.

  • Plays a role in eye health: omega-3s can improve vision in patients with age-related macular degeneration and those suffering from dry eye syndrome. The latter should consume fatty acids, as well as other vitamins, such as vitamins C, E, B6, B9, and B12.
  • Necessary for the proper development of the embryo, its brain, its eyes, and various functions. The mother must increase her intake of omega-3s during her pregnancy.
  • Skin health aid, it nourishes the skin.
