A therapeutic bone broth, a natural remedy for digestive disorders and weakened immune systems⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A regular consumption of therapeutic bone broth helps:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✦ digestion⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✦ immune system⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✦ joints⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✦ integumentary system (hair, nails, and skin)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✦ inflammation⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The benefits lie in the presence of collagen, gelatin, and minerals such as zinc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
From autumn to spring, I make a broth once a week. I love drinking a hot cup after meals.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
PREPARATION:⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cook 1 chicken carcass in 4-6 L of water for 3-4 hours over low heat.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To start, add 2 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar to draw more minerals from the bones.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Bring to a boil. Remove the foam with a spoon during boiling. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then add the fresh herbs of your choice (I love parsley with rosemary) as well as Himalayan pink salt.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once boiling, reduce the heat and let simmer for 3-4 hours. Cooking time is important. A long, slow cook will yield a broth rich in minerals.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can freeze some of your broth in cubes, make a soup with it, or store it in Mason jars by following canning instructions.
