A small dose of vitamin D has been added to prevent a potential epidemic deficiency. Several studies show that a deficiency in vitamin D can promote the development of certain types of cancer, including colorectal, breast, and prostate cancer. Vitamin D is also an effective mediator of the immune system. The effective dose of vitamin D varies significantly from person to person, and for this reason, we have only added a low dose of 100 iu per capsule. The best way to measure your vitamin D needs is through the 25-OH vitamin D blood test, and the optimal result is between 75 and 150 nmol/L.

Green tea extract is used in our formula for its exceptional antioxidant properties. The extract of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is one of the most powerful active ingredients in green tea. The addition of 90 mg of ECGC, standardized to 45%, is equivalent to several cups of green tea. Green tea cleanses the body, thereby promoting the elimination of harmful toxins for good metabolism.

Curcumin is a powerful detoxifying agent with anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-cancer, and hepatic properties... used for over 2500 years in India to treat inflammation, intoxication, and cancer, the reputation of curcumin precedes it. We use it in this formula to promote the detoxification of the body, particularly due to its strong effect on the liver.

The DIM (diindolylmethane) is a cruciferous indole found in broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts... DIM has a positive effect on hormonal health by promoting the proper functioning of certain enzymes that stimulate a healthy estrogen metabolism in both women and men. DIM adjusts estradiol levels by converting it into less harmful metabolites.

Calcium D-glucarate is the salt of D-glucaric acid. Taking a calcium D-glucarate supplement inhibits beta-glucuronidase, a phase 2 detoxification enzyme. Throughout this phase, carcinogenic chemicals, steroid hormones, and other lipophilic toxins bind to glucuronic acid in the liver and are then excreted via the bile pathways. This process is called glucuronidation, and it is the primary method of excreting estrogens such as estradiol, as well as cholesterol and a number of other carcinogens.

Bioperine (piperine) is the active ingredient in black pepper. It is now used to help increase the bioavailability and absorption of certain natural compounds. The EgCG from green tea, resveratrol, and curcumin are particularly affected. Bioperine will significantly enhance the bioavailability and blood concentration of these natural ingredients.

trans-resveratrol is probably one of the most popular phenolic compounds, particularly for its fantastic antioxidant capacity. This distillate is indeed remarkable, at low concentration, studies have shown that resveratrol has the ability to block the actions of estrogens and even block some of its production at higher doses. Its action on estrogens is partly based on the fact that resveratrol is a SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) like the drugs tamoxifen and clomiphene. This alone makes it a great ally in the fight against the increasingly common hormonal imbalances of today. More good news has been discovered in this compound, the powerful anti-inflammatory properties of resveratrol could slow down or even prevent the development of certain pathologies such as diabetes and cardiovascular problems.

Sulforaphane

It is common knowledge that cruciferous vegetables are known for their anti-cancer properties and for positively modulating estrogen levels. For many years, the diindolylmethane found in these vegetables has been used to promote healthy estrogen metabolism. It is only recently that science has isolated another very interesting component present in cruciferous vegetables, particularly broccoli sprouts, the powerful sulforaphane. Known since the late 90s, this isothiocyanate is recognized for its anti-cancer properties, notably by inducing cellular apoptosis (death). It also has the ability to reduce estrogen receptors and could detoxify the liver of estrogens and xenoestrogens. It is really important to check the source of sulforaphane as this compound is very fragile.

Recommended dose: adults: take 1 capsule per day with a meal. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications.

Recommended usage duration: consult a healthcare professional for use beyond 12 weeks.

Contraindications: do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Discontinue use at the first sign of joint pain or hot flashes. If you develop symptoms related to the liver (e.g.: abdominal pain, jaundice) or symptoms of low estrogen levels, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Warnings: Consult a healthcare professional before use if you are trying to conceive, if you are taking medications, if you have or are predisposed to cancer, if you have gallstones or a bile duct obstruction, if you have a stomach ulcer or excess gastric acid, if you have an iron deficiency, if you are taking medications or natural health products, if you have a liver disorder or symptoms of low estrogen levels (such as joint pain, mood changes, changes in libido, hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, or irregular menstruation). Consult a healthcare professional if you have a liver disorder. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver disorders such as yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), abdominal pain, dark urine, sweating, nausea, unusual fatigue, and/or loss of appetite and consult a healthcare professional. Rare and unpredictable cases of liver damage associated with products containing green tea extract have been reported (in Canada and internationally).
