Smoothie santé

Here is a vitamin-packed smoothie recipe that literally takes 2-3 minutes to prepare. An excellent accompaniment to 2 hard-boiled eggs in the morning for your protein portion if you don't add protein powder.

Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, for all those who, like me, have intolerances or allergies but want good energy to start the day. I add dried fruits as a topping for their benefits and energy boost.

I prepare everything in the Ninja blender (with the single-serve container), which leaves a smooth, lump-free smoothie.

Ingredients, for 1 bowl:

1/2 cup frozen pineapple

1 cup of frozen strawberries

1 clementine, peeled

1 cup of plant-based drink (I used unsweetened organic almond drink here, which could be replaced with soy drink or milk)

1 tbsp almond butter (or walnut, or sunflower)

or

1 scoop of vanilla protein

Toppings:

Granola of your choice

Fruits, dried fruits, nuts or seeds

Nut or sunflower butter

Chia Seeds

Instructions:

Put the fruits and plant-based drink into the smoothie container, and blend for about 30 seconds. Add the almond butter or protein powder and mix for another 20 to 30 seconds.

Put everything in a bowl to add the toppings.

A good granola adds a nice touch of texture with a hint of cinnamon undertone. And what about the dried white mulberries or dried cherries? They add a flavor you won't be able to live without.
