Here is a vitamin smoothie recipe that literally takes 2-3 minutes to prepare. A great accompaniment to 2 hard-boiled eggs in the morning for your protein serving if you don't add protein powder.
Gluten Free, Dairy Free, for all those like me who have intolerances or allergies, but who want good energy to start the day. I add someFit-Fit Dried Fruit as a garnish, for their benefits and energy intake.
I whip it all up in Ninja's blender (with the single-serve container), which leaves a smooth, lump-free smoothie.
Ingredients, for 1 bowl:
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 clementine, peeled
1 cup of vegetable drink (I put unsweetened organic almond drink here, it could be replaced by soy drink or milk)
1 C. almond butter
Where
1 scoop ofvanilla protein
Toppings:
Granola of your choice
Organic Dried Mulberries WhereOrganic dried cherries
Chia seeds
Instructions :
Put the fruit and vegetable drink in the smoothie container, and blend for about 30 seconds. Add the almond butter or protein powder and mix for another 20 to 30 seconds.
Put everything in a bowl to put the toppings.
A good granola adds a nice touch of texture with a hint of cinnamon base. And what about dried mulberries or dried cherries. It adds a taste you can't live without.
