Recommended uses or purposes: Source of fiber for maintaining good health. Gently relieves occasional constipation and/or irregularity. Used in herbal medicine to help relieve inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract, such as gastritis. Source of antioxidants. Provides antioxidants that help reduce oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
Recommended dosage: 1 scoop, once daily. For each dose, drink (or mix with) at least 150 ml of liquid. Take two hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products, as the absorption of those products may be delayed.
Duration of use: Consult a healthcare practitioner if use continues beyond 4–6 weeks. Adequate intake of specific fibers is a good way to regulate your gut flora and keep it at an optimal level. Constipation is a sign that your gut is not functioning as well as it should.
Consult a healthcare practitioner immediately if you have chest pain, vomiting, or if you have difficulty swallowing or breathing after taking this product. If symptoms worsen or if constipation persists beyond 7 days of use, consult a healthcare practitioner. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives, or any other medication that may worsen electrolyte imbalances. Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular or kidney disorders.
KNOWN ADVERSE REACTIONS: A hypersensitivity, such as an allergy, may occur. If this is the case, discontinue use. May cause flatulence and/or bloating. Gut health is paramount, but few people really know how to keep it healthy.
