A small dose of vitamin D was added to prevent a possible epidemic deficiency. Several studies show that vitamin D deficiency can promote the development of certain types of cancer, including colorectal, breast and prostate cancer. Vitamin D is also an effective mediator of the immune system. The effective dose of vitamin D varies greatly from person to person, and for this reason we have only added a low dose of 100 IU per capsule. The best way to measure your vitamin D needs is the vitamin D 25-OH blood test, and the optimal result is between 75 and 150 nmol/L.

Green tea extract is used in our formula for its exceptional antioxidant properties. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate extract (EGCG) is one of the most powerful active ingredients in green tea. Adding 90 mg of ECGC, standardized to 45%, is equivalent to several cups of green tea. Green tea cleanses the body, thus promoting the elimination of toxins harmful to good metabolism.

Curcumin is a powerful anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-carcinogenic and liver detoxifying agent used for over 2500 years in India to treat inflammation, poisoning and cancer, curcumin's reputation precedes it. We use it in this formula to promote detoxification of the body, particularly because of its strong effect on the liver..

The DIM (diindolylmethane) is a cruciferous indole found in broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts. DIM has a positive effect on hormonal health by promoting the proper functioning of certain enzymes that stimulate healthy estrogen metabolism in women and the man. DIM adjusts estradiol levels by converting it to less harmful metabolites..

Calcium D-glucarate is the salt of D-glucaric acid. Taking a calcium supplement D-glucarate inhibits beta-glucoronidase, a phase 2 detoxification enzyme. Throughout this phase, cancer-causing chemicals, steroid hormones, and other fat-soluble toxins bind to the acid glucoronic acid in the liver and are then excreted through the bile ducts. This process is called glucoronidation, and it is the primary method of excreting estrogens such as estradiol, as well as cholesterol and a number of other carcinogens.

Bioperine (piperine) is the active ingredient in black pepper. It is now used to help increase the bioavailability and absorption of certain natural compounds. The EgCGs of green tea, resveratrol and curcumin are particularly affected. Bioperine will significantly improve the bioavailability and blood concentration of these natural ingredients.

Trans-resveratrol is probably one of the most popular phenolic compounds, especially for its fantastic antioxidant capacity. This still is indeed remarkable, at low concentrations, studies have shown that resveratrol has the ability to block the actions of estrogens and even block part of its production at higher doses. Its action on estrogens is based in part on the fact that resveratrol is a SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) like the drugs tamoxifen and clomiphene. This alone makes it a great ally in the fight against hormonal imbalances that are increasingly common these days. More good news has been discovered in this compound, the powerful anti-inflammatory properties of resveratrol could slow or even prevent the development of certain pathologies such as diabetes and cardiovascular problems.

Sulforaphane

It is common knowledge that cruciferous vegetables are known to aid in their anti-cancer properties and to positively modulate estrogen levels. For many years, the diindolymethane found in these vegetables has been used to support healthy estrogen metabolism. Only recently has science isolated another very interesting compound found in cruciferous vegetables, particularly broccoli sprouts, the powerful sulforaphane. Known since the end of the 90s, this isothyiocinant is recognized for its anticancer properties, particularly by inducing cell apoptosis (death). It also has the ability to reduce estrogen receptors and could heptaically detoxify estrogens and xenoestrogens. It is really important to check the source of sulforaphane because this compound is really fragile.
