Who doesn't like pizza?
And who doesn't like to vary their toppings, and try new toppings??
I offer you a version different from those that we usually order at the local pizzeria. You can use prepared pizza dough, a ball of frozen dough, or make your own dough.
Here we use the gluten-free pizza dough mix from Lulubelle & co.
So here's a delicious fig and prosciutto pizza recipe:
- 1Lulubelle & co pizza dough mix
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- 4-6 slices of prosciutto
- 1/4 cup offig balsamic vinegar (we use that ofOlives & Delicacies)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon ofArbenica Extra Mild Olive Oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat the oven to 200C..
Prepare the pizza dough according to the instructions on the package from Lulubelle & co.
Spread the pizza dough on a baking sheet and cover it with tomato sauce.
Add the grated mozzarella to the tomato sauce.
Arrange the prosciutto slices over the cheese.
Bake the pizza for 12 to 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
While the pizza is baking, prepare the topping by combining the fig balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Once the pizza is cooked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
Add the fig balsamic vinegar topping on the pizza.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve.
Good tasting !
